June 12-15, 2025
"As you take a well-deserved rest tonight on the cool and gently-rolling slopes that drift down from the Ngorongoro Crater,
take a second to understand the beauty that now surrounds you, shaped and sculptured for your pleasure since the dawn of time."

Accommodation:
Game Drives:
Ngorongoro Crater - where we finally saw a rhinoceros.
Traveling to this location, we reached an altitude of over 7,800 feet.
We saw many animals including zebras and wildebeest migrating.
We saw many birds, including flamingos and ibis.
Lake Manyara National Park
Noteworthy:
This was probably the most relaxing part of our trip...
With that said, WE HAD A CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH A BULL ELEPHANT!!!
At the hotel, we had one of the best spa treatments (massages) that we have ever had.
One afternoon, we had a surprise barbeque lunch in the middle of the Ngorongoro Crater floor!
We went horseback riding through a coffee plantation and avocado grove.
One afternoon after a game drive, we were greeted with a scented, hot bubble bath for the two of us.
Played pool on the world's largest pool table (with smaller than usual balls!).
The general manager, Altus, was extremely knowledgeable of South African wines.
To get to Ngorongoro, our bush flight went from the Seronera Airstrip to Lake Manyara Airstrip.
To get to Nairobi, our bush flight went from from Lake Manyara Airstrip to Kilimanjaro International Airport; then we traveled to Wilson Airport.
